Your employees will complete AJAC’s Rockwell Hardness Testing course on AJAC’s Advanced Inspection and Manufacturing Mobile Training Unit (AIM-MTU). This course is designed to provide your Washington State employees with theoretical and practical training in the hardness testing of materials as required by the provisions of the ASTM E18-08b Standard.
Your employees will be taught the history of:
- Hardness testing
- The Rockwell Hardness scales
The course includes, but is not limited to:
- Appropriate Standards, Procedures, and Specifications of National and International Organizations
- Definition of Hardness, Ways of measuring Hardness
- Brinell Hardness, Vickers Hardness, Rockwell Hardness, Superficial Rockwell Hardness
- Calibration of the equipment
- Advantages and Disadvantages of the various methods
- Precautions, Inspection and Recording of Results
This course is for employers and employees working in the manufacturing industry in Washington State.
Your employees will demonstrate their understanding of Rockwell Hardness Testing by accurately inspecting the provided material samples and reporting the results for verification.
Students who successfully complete this course will receive AJAC’s certificate of completion.
