Objective

During AJAC’s SolidWorks Introductory course, your employees will be given an overview of SolidWorks functionality and be introduced to CAD Systems. Through hands-on practice and instructor guidance, your employees will demonstrate the following while creating a 3D model based on specific design criteria:

  • Design intent
  • Selection of view orientations
  • Sketching of fixed geometric shapes and individual line drawings
  • Dimensioning of solid models
  • 3D extrusion of 2D shapes
  • Editing of solid model shapes

Audience

This course is for employers and employees working in the manufacturing industry in Washington State.

Skills Assessment

Your employees will demonstrate their understanding of CAD design by accurately creating a 3D model. Each employee’s model will be 3D printed and mailed to their company after class.

Students who successfully complete this course will receive AJAC’s certificate of completion.
