G-Code Programming Training for CNC Milling Machines

8 hours 10 students Instructor-led classroom course held at your Washington State company or on AJAC’s Advanced Inspection and Manufacturing and Mobile Training Unit (AIM-MTU).

Objective

During AJAC’s G-Code Programming for Mills course and through hands-on practice and instructor guidance, your employees will develop the skills and techniques needed to write and edit simple commands and basic programs for a CNC milling machine.

Through this class, students will:

  • Acquire an understanding of:
    • Programming theory and concepts with a strong emphasis on safety and program integrity
    • G codes and M codes
  • Calculate and apply:
    • Radius commands
    • Cutter compensation
    • Cutter path
    • Part path
    • Roughing cycles
    • Contour cycles
    • Canned cycles

Audience

This course is for employers and employees working in the manufacturing industry in Washington State.

Skills Assessment

Your employees will demonstrate their understanding of G-Code Programming and troubleshooting by accurately hand-writing a program for the provided AJAC Inspection Plate.

Students who successfully complete this course will receive AJAC’s certificate of completion.
